AltConf (formerly AltWWDC) is the premier event for iOS/OSX developers who didn't win a chance to buy a WWDC ticket can go to an even cooler developer hosted event where you meet cool people, learn cool things, and you still go to all the WWDC parties with the Apple engineers and WWDC attendees. San Fran at midnight during a WWDC week is something to behold.

> In case you missed our announcement last week, we were given express permission from Apple to show WWDC content. That means our traditional viewing of the WWDC Keynote on Monday morning is definitely on--with coffee and breakfast burritos thanks to Elgato and Sauce Labs! AND we’ve added a Viewing Room to stream WWDC sessions Tuesday through Thursday. Please note that guaranteed seating for Hero Supporters only applies to the speaking sessions on Tuesday-Thursday and does not apply to Monday’s events, nor to the Viewing Room.
>
> In addition to that excellent news, we are very excited to announce that on Tuesday morning at 10:00am in the Viewing Room, we will screen the documentary Code: Debugging the Gender Gap.
>
> “CODE documentary exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap and digital divide. The film highlights breakthrough efforts that are producing more diverse programmers and shows how this critical gap can be closed. CODE asks: what would society gain from having more women and minorities code and how do we get there?”
