This isn't a programming issue, but this is the crowd that will
know the answer to this.
I've been researching a problem with ios and wifi network management,
as described here:
http://arstechnica.com/security/2014/06/free-wi-fi-from-xfinity-and-att-also-frees-you-to-be-hacked/
TL;DR - if you connect to an open wifi access point, you are later
susceptible to a bad guy getting you to connect to an evil AP with
the same SSID.
The specific issue I'm concerned with is how to "forget" a network
you can't currently "see". In ios 6 and 7, in Settings you can
select a currently-visible network and tell the device to forget
it. But if you aren't within range of the SSID at that time, your
only recourse is to reset network settings (which works but has
other drawbacks).
I'm wondering if anyone has heard whether ios 8 has the same setup,
or if it's possible to view a list of all SSIDs you have connected
to and forget them selectively?
Thanks,
Mark
