hi folks,

this is Ian from mim.fm...some of you may know me from occasional jaunts to
Winnings on thursday mornings. for those who don't know, mim.fm is a
humanitarian music distribution venture. here's the mission statement from
our website:

The mission of *mim.fm <http://mim.fm>* is to initiate and sustain a
paradigm shift, from music as disposable non-essential commodity to music
as a necessity for personal and social well-being. To that end, we have
designed a humanitarian model for music distribution wherein affordable
music is guaranteed for all consumers and fair compensation is guaranteed
for all musicians. The model works, in part, because of a built-in
charitable component which turns all acts of consumption into acts of
contribution, an approach which drives both revenue and social change. We
further our mission by initiating and producing live music events in
support of important humanitarian and social issues.

Because music is medicine.

of late i have been getting some nibbles from potential angels / VCs to
develop mim.fm on a large scale. as such, i need first and foremost to find
a programmer who will assume the lead on the development of the app. the
ideal candidate would be someone who not only has cross-platform
development skills but also has an interest in and passion for music and
the arts, as well as a commitment to use technology as a means towards
tackling and alleviating social issues (environment, global health,
poverty, etc).

to be clear, there is no money in the till just yet. but angels / VCs like
to know that you have your team assembled before they trust you with their
loot. so i need to be able tell them that i have a top-notch developer on
board and rearing to go should they cut us a check. the folks i am in
talks with don't mess around, so we are talking about a significant chunk
of change for you, should this come through.

if you think this project may be of interest to you, drop me a line at this
email address, or feel free to call if you wish to chat about this:
